Shiranai Travel offers Group holidays to Japan twice a year without
making a profit. We operate at cost to get the lowest possible rate for
a group holiday to Japan with a certain basic level of comfort. The
reason for doing
this is that the organisers themselves can also go on a holiday for the
same low price. The price, which would otherwise have been
substantially more then it is for groups. Aside from this, it's a lot
more fun to go with a number of people and change the people you hang
out with on a daily basis instead of being cooped up with the same
friend or relative the entire duration of your holiday.
If you have send us mail and we have not replied to you within 24hours, your message has been intercepted by our spam filter. Please leave a message on our forum. We will contact you through an alternate mail address
How can we operate so cheaply, let you do what you want to do and
still offer you all the good things of package holidays?
Well, instead of a guide and a set program, you will be provided
with a travel guidebook in English. In this
book you can find over 40 day trip ideas for your holiday destinations.
You can then set out in small groups or on your own to do what you want to
do, using Japan's excellent public transport (Free use of most Japan
Rail trains
included in our basic fee for either two or three weeks). Your
guidebook also contains important information concerning the country we
are visiting and tips on what to do and what to avoid culture wise. We
strongly recommend you read it before going anywhere.
Before committing to one of our holidays, please take a look at
this
new section of our website.
Shiranai Travel will now be doing the Japan Super Slam and Japan / Korea Combo packages.
These packages are currently sold out. We can not accept any more travellers for our August holiday. If you MUST join us, you are requested to arrange your flight yourself and we will look in to providing accomodation for you. We can not promise you anything concrete at the moment though.
Please understand that we can not do more then our best.
Can you trust Shiranai Travel?
As part of Stichting Promotie Japanse Popcultuur, Shiranai Travel has been flying with trusted partners like JAL and JALPAK and is pleased to announce that they will be flying with JAL again on their next holiday, which is as yet, unconfirmed.
Should you require some convincing, JALPAK will be happy to send you an e-mail regarding our sincerity. In Japan we have been doing business with the same appartment rental company since 1999. We are one of the few foreign entities that do not have to pay a downpayment or key money for their services. Should you have any further doubts about our service, please contact us by e-mail or check out the various
anime and
game communities we used in the past to advertise our product.

How to navigate this website:
Still not sure about what it's all about? If you have questions, send
us some email to travel@ the domain of this website.
For general questions about our holiday or Japan check out our
FAQ.
Some images from our holiday in March/April this 2007.
We've had 14 people tagging along with this group. The holiday was
called "Hanami no Hanabi" (Fireworks of Flowers) where we attempted to
follow the blossoming Sakura trees. As you can see from the image
below, which was taken at Mitaka station, we succeeded to see
Sakura in bloom.
We also visited the beautiful town Tsumago on the Nakasendo postal
route. A spot we from Shiranai would like to recommend to all our
travellers. It's close to Nagoya. You can get there by going to the
Nagisa station and take a bus from there. You can also walk from Nagisa
and take a bus back to the station instead.
If you have any ideas for a holiday or you want us to plan a
perfect holiday for a group of people please subscribe to our forum and
ask us or send Niels an e-mail message. Use travel at domain to e-mail
him. If you want us to arrange for your ground package, we'd like to
ask
you to sponsor something for us so we won't need to ask €10 from our
travellers next time. This sponsorship could be a year of web hosting
or
printing cost for our travel guide, for instance. If you just have a
question, we'll answer it for free, of course :)
Feel free to leave us messages in our
Guest book.
